Dr. Rita Poór

Dr. Rita Poór obtained legal practice first as in-house counsel of a multinational insurance company where she had acted as head the nationwide network of liability insurance claims processing for 10 years. She established her own law office in 2008 which then amalgamated into the Rézmovits and Poór Law Office in 2010.

Her primary areas of competence are insurance law, the law of torts, the law of condominiums, and debt collection. She is extremely experienced in the field of representing claimants and insurers in litigated and non-litigated compensation claims arisen from traffic accidents with personal injury and/or loss of property and those arisen from medical malpractice and, further, in resolving legal issues affecting communities of residents in condominiums and home cooperatives. She has significant practice in litigation and medium–level proficiency in English.

She earned her law degree in 1991 at the Janus Pannonius University of Sciences in Pécs and then a postgraduate diploma as a specialist lawyer in insurance matters in 1998 at the ELTE Institute of Postgraduate Legal Studies. From the year of 2005, she acted as co-chairperson of the Civil Law Liability and Insurance Working Group of the AIDA Hungarian National Section of the Insurance Department of the Hungarian Association of Lawyers for 6 years.
